Mahabalipuram (or Mamallapuram) is a small Indian town situated 60km south of Chennai known for the importance of its archaeological sites. So after only an hour bus ride we started visiting the famous Shore Temple (Temple of the shoreline). He remains the last vestige of a set of seven temples built twelve centuries ago on almost ten miles along the coast. You should also know that to visit all the sights of the city had to pay our Rs 250 while the Indians have a very reduced rate (only 10 rupees!). That is to say, twenty-five times more expensive for foreigners!
Then we continued our journey through the discovery of a very special rock, defying the law of gravity: "The Butter Ball" (ball of butter). But fortunately Anthony was present to accept the bouboule!
Finally we finished the day with the 5 Ratha, a temple consisting of a set of sculptures rather well preserved.
